CLINICAL OPHTHALMOLOGY/OPTOMETRY and GENERAL MEDICAL CLINIC

Open to: Adults, age 21 and older
NON-MEDICAL TEAM MEMBERS ARE ALWAYS NEEDED!
Cost: $1300 + airfare (estimated $800)
Type of work: Participants will be in a medical environment assisting with the eye clinic.
Types of Participants Needed:
- Non-Medical
- Ophthalmologists
- Optometrists
- Opticians
- Internists or general practitioners to handle medical issues that arise
- Ophthalmic Techs
- Nurses, PAs, Nurse Practitioners
- Medical Assistants
- Pharmacists and Pharmacy Techs
- Allied Health Professionals (any type!)
Lodging: Participants will stay in guest houses in dorm/bunk style rooms with AC and running water
Risks: Malaria, Cholera, Typhoid, Zika, US Government Travel Warning
Passport required: yes (with expiration date at least 6 months past the date of travel)
Visa required: no
Vaccinations/Medications: Malaria medication, Hepatitis A/B, Typhoid, HIV/AIDS Prophylaxis (for surgery volunteers only)
*all travelers are required to be up-to-date on routine vaccinations
